Awarded for Best Telco AI Initiative

We're proud to share that Amplitel and the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), have been recognised as the Best Telco AI Initiative at the 2026 CommsDay Edison Awards.

This recognition reflects our collaboration on Project SMaRTER - where we're combining engineering expertise with Artificial Intelligence and machine learning to rethink how mobile infrastructure is managed.

By applying large language models to decades of historical maintenance records and field data, we're building a unique "structural fingerprint" for every tower in our portfolio.

What does this mean in practice?

• Better visibility of asset condition
• More targeted, predictive maintenance
• More resilient tower infrastructure

It's a great example of how data and technology can unlock smarter decisions at scale and ultimately improve outcomes for customers and communities across Australia.
